Robert Rogers Jr.

I went active duty in the Navy about 8 months after high school . Was then stationed aboard the USS KittyHawk an aircraft carrier . We went to the Tonkin Gulf off the coast of Vietnam and I worked on the flight deck . Moved to Alaska in 1975 where I owned a nightclub and then I was manager and co-owner in a bar and restaurant supply company in Anchorge . In 1981, I became a representative with an alcohol beverage distributor throughout the state of Alaska. Eventually I went into real estate and became the broker of Rogers Real Estate in Wasilla, Alaska. In 1996, I remarried the love of my life, Gayle Aveyard, and she and I opened our own Real Estate and property management office in Wasilla - Mat-Su Realty. We retired to Lake City, Florida, in late 2005 where we have 18 acres with lots of animals and grandkids to keep us busy.
